Parent Tips:
Participate in your child's education
-Talk about homework
-Show how schoolwork relates to daily life.
-Make an appointment to visit the classroom as an observer, volunteer or assistant.
-Join parents' organizations
Be aware of your child's performance
-Attend parent-teacher conferences.
-Request additional meetings, if needed.
-Keep teachers informed about events and issues that may affect your child's work or behavior.

Dear Parent/Guardian:
Lee County Public Schools is committed to providing information to you regarding your child’s teacher and paraprofessional qualifications in a timely manner upon request.
You have the right to request the following information:
· Whether the teacher has met state licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
· Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which state qualifications of licensing criteria have been waived.
· The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
· Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals, and, if so, their qualifications.
You will be notified in writing if your child has been assigned or has been taught for more than four consecutive weeks by a teacher who has not met the NCLB highly qualified criteria.
Please be assured that Manatee Elementary is dedicated to providing the students of our County with a quality education. The information regarding the qualifications of your child’s teacher and/or the classroom paraprofessional may be obtained from Manatee at 694-2097

Usted tiene el derecho a pedir la siguiente información:
� Si el maestro ha cumplido con los Requisitos del Estado y el criterio de licenciatura
para los niveles de grado y áreas en que el maestro provee instrucción.
Si el maestro está enseñando de emergencia o bajo otro estado provisional por lo cual
se renuncia el criterio del Estado para otorgar licencia.
� En que asignatura principal tiene la licenciatura el maestro y cualquier otra
certificación universitaria o título que tiene el maestro y el campo de disciplina de
dicha certificación o título.
� Si el niño/a recibe servicios por un para-profesional, y si es así, cuales son sus calificaciones.
Usted será notificado/a por escrito si su hijo/a ha sido asignado o si ha sido instruido por más de cuatro semanas consecutivas, por un maestro que no ha llenado el criterio de alta calificación del NCLB. (NCLB son las siglas para La Ley del 2001 Que Ningún Niño Se Quede Atrás).
Por favor siéntase seguro que las Escuelas Manatee Elementary están dedicadas a proveerles a los estudiantes de nuestro Condado una educación de calidad. La información respecto a las calificaciones del maestro de su hijo y / o el para-profesional se puede obtener por medio de Manatee 694-2097.
